Portfolio Website for Photographer Valentina Volkova

About the project
Website for photographer — modern portfolio with responsive design
Task
Create a portfolio website for photographer Valentina Volkova that not only showcases her work but also serves as an effective tool for attracting new clients.
Idea
To design a minimalist website in the style of an online gallery — focusing on photography, clean tructure, and an English-language interface to emphasize the photographer’s international presence.
Solution
We developed a portfolio website with a gallery-style homepage, biography section, genre-based categories, and a convenient contact button.
Simple typography and a black-and-white aesthetic highlight the photographer’s artistic style, while responsive design ensures a seamless experience across all devices.
Project Stages:
Stage 1. Design Concept
For this project, we didn’t have to create dozens of options — the concept came together naturally and instantly resonated with the photographer.

We focused on minimalism, letting each photo speak for itself without unnecessary decoration.
When the client saw the first layout, her reaction was:“It’s pure bliss — goosebumps!”

For us, that was the best sign that the chosen direction perfectly reflected her style and vision.
Stage 2. Page Design
We built the landing page around the photographs, dividing the portfolio into themed series. This approach allows visitors not just to browse a collection of images, but to immerse themselves in cohesive visual stories.

The website includes two main sections:

  • Women’s Portrait — a series that celebrates individuality and the beauty of every woman.
  • Love Story — a series about love, intimacy, and emotions captured in genuine moments.

This concept makes the website feel like an online exhibition — where photos are presented not as isolated works, but as thematic collections. It amplifies the emotional impact and helps the photographer convey her vision on a deeper level.
Stage 3. Development and Adaptation
The website was built on Tilda and optimized for different devices. Special attention was given to how the photo series appear — the galleries automatically adjust to the screen size, preserving both the composition and the emotional tone of each shot.

On mobile, we implemented smooth vertical scrolling, allowing viewers to experience the story just as immersively as on desktop. Thanks to the clean structure, the website loads quickly, and the photographs retain their high quality.

We also developed two language versions — Russian and English.Language switching is built directly into the interface, making the website equally convenient for local and international audiences.

As a result, we created an online gallery that feels like a real exhibition — the Women’s Portrait and Love Story series look equally impressive on both desktop and mobile devices.
Stage 4. Launch and Results
We created a one-page portfolio website that became a full-fledged online gallery for the photographer.

Dividing the works into the Women’s Portrait and Love Story series helped structure the portfolio
and emphasize the individuality of each project.

The website operates in two languages — Russian and English — making it an effective tool for both local and international clients.

As a result, the photographer received a stylish, lightweight, and emotional website
that reflects her artistic vision and helps attract new clients online.
