Shizuku — a concept website for a Japanese pottery gallery created using AI tools
Task
To design a concept site for the Japanese pottery studio Shizuku (しずく / 雫) that reflects the aesthetics of Japanese minimalism and traditional craftsmanship.
Idea
To show how modern technology and AI can coexist in harmony with cultural heritage.The project was conceived as an experimental case — an online gallery with atmospheric visuals and a storytelling approach that reveals the brand’s philosophy
Solution
We fully integrated AI technologies into the process:
- Ceramic and interior images were generated in Midjourney.
- Texts were created and adapted by AI to match the tone of a Japanese brand.
- The concept and visual identity were built around minimalism, calmness, and purity of form.
Project Stages:
Stage 1. Design Concept
We developed two visual concepts:
Both versions were created entirely with the help of AI — from image generation to text content.
This experiment demonstrated how AI can be used to craft different visual moods while maintaining brand integrity and Japanese aesthetics.
- Dark concept — minimalism with a deep black background, atmospheric ceramic photography, clean typography, and a gallery-like feel.
- Light concept — white background, airy composition, refined forms, and the warmth of traditional craftsmanship.
Both versions were created entirely with the help of AI — from image generation to text content.

Stage 2. Page Design
The landing page structure included:

- a main screen highlighting the brand name and collection,
- a section with selected ceramic pieces,
- a block describing the studio and its philosophy,
- and a button leading to the full collection.

Stage 3. Result
This project became a demonstration of how we at VOTAK Studio actively use AI tools to generate ideas, content, and visuals.
